A few days ago we finally managed to make things work for a maternity session that was coming close to Shannon’s due date. She was hopeful that her little one was not going to come early so all was good. Why worry, it was her second and she was comfortable and relaxed as a mother to be might like to be. Most mothers to be that I have spoken to have said “the sooner this comes out the better” but Shannon was quite content and actually wanted her delivery to be late, Shannon had things she wanted to get done before little baby arrived.
So on Saturday in the studio, very relaxed and calm, the whole family all together, we created some maternity images of Shannon, including some family too.
It was a really easy going session which is so amazing. Shannon was not worried about anything or if she was, said nothing to it.

I always find it fascinating how a little human being fits so well in their mother’s tummy. And little Ava kinda found the idea interesting as well. But of course it was all about her, at age 3 everything is… She was a ham being the ever “is it my turn now?” prop ready to be in all and any photo. But more about Ava later…
The 9 months of carrying your little treasure is such a precious time. Being able to capture creative and contemporary images of maternity and newborns is an honour and a privilege not to be taken lightly. There is an angle in all these mothers…
