James Bond 007 is in the house…

So I was invited to some friend’s house warming party.  The party had a theme….James Bond!

The house is simply amazing, stunningly beautiful and the style and architecture are just simply amazing.  Got some ideas for myself seeing the house… Perfect backdrop for a James Bond party and everyone came dressed accordingly in tux and cocktail dresses!

For the event Jeff (the host) spent some time lovingly cleaning and shining up his sleek and fast M3 coupé.  Great back drop for a James Bond photo…ok so it wasn’t the Aston Martin DB9 but the next best thing.  See for yourself….

Girl’s night out…at Anarchy Gallery

When the cat’s away, the mice will play…..

Well when you let a bunch of women loose in a boutique clothing store of Angelina WronaAnarchy Gallery” in Merrickville and with local makeup artist Lyz Plant on hand to add some amazing finishing touches of colour, there is no telling what will happen…

Really, I mean that!  There were passerbys who would stop and peer in to see what all the commotion and flashes were all about…

Robyn organised this amazing event and asked if I would do some fun shots of the ladies dressed up in some really cool outfits with some very beautiful and interesting items of jewellery. Maybe do a few head-shots, some group shots and what ever else might come along or happen.  Well here is the story of what turned out to be a very fun evening for all in attendance…and yes that would include me too!

The evening cheese & wine event with lots of shopping went down super well.  Everyone had lots of fun and Angelina was the perfect host for such an awesome event.  Not to mention that her collection of outfits for the ladies to try on were amazing.  Lyz of course did some fantastic work with colours on the ladies faces and also did some of her own posing….check them out below.  Some mice and a cat lost out big time…oh well…

While the Cat's away the mice will play...Oh did that cat miss out big time...

A portrait headshot session with Teresa…

Teresa lives in the Toronto area and has a very successful holistic wellness practise.  She came to me and wanted some new portrait headshots that she could use for her presentations and the new business cards she was having made up.

Teresa, with her background as a licensed holistic practitioner, add some real estate and hospitality industry experience to the mix, has built up a very successful business of helping people attain a more vibrant & healthy lifestyle.

Teresa is a fun loving lady who makes lemonade out of lemons and posing for portraits was not really her thing.  She wanted something new, something that would reflect the transition she was going through as her business was taking on new heights of success.

So I suggested to Teresa she bring some simple yet pleasant coloured clothing outfits, some suitable items of jewellery and keep the makeup simple.  I wanted to make sure that we captured the essence of who Teresa is and reflect some of her easy going nature that people connect with.  So we set out to have some fun and shake a little booty…

Here are some of the results of Teresa’s studio portrait session…

Her favourite shots....and the last ones we took

As with many people, standing in front of a camera is something they find hard to do and it does take some time to get comfortable having this lens peering down at you.  So with Teresa, as I do with all my clients, we started shooting and just having some fun.  I went through some posing pointers to show her how I would make her look the best.

It wasn’t long before Teresa got into the groove and started doing some of her stuff with what I was sharing with her.  Add a little rock music….and we’re off to the races for a prize winning shot!

Some of the other contenders from earlier in the session (which took about 90 minutes in total):
